I’m a to-do list person. Can’t help it. Lists here, lists there, and pretty soon lists everywhere. I carry a pocket-sized notebook around with me everywhere so I can jot down additions to my lists. I sleep with pen and paper by my bedside just in case I wake up with a new item to add. (It’s happened.) A while back I used OmniOutliner for a school paper (and incidentally I haven’t had to write a paper since then, which is nice) and today I figured I’d try it out for maintaining my main to-do list. It sure looks great. :) In fact, the checkboxes next to each item are so tempting that I’ll have to do the items just so I can check ‘em off. A new era has begun. :)
In a similar vein, my blood’s O-. Um, what I mean is, using OmniOutliner to manage my to-do list leads me to re-consider using iCal to manage my schedule (pronounced “shedyool” after the British fashion, of course). I’ve been using a paper planner and it works quite well. On the other hand, I do use my computer often enough that any kind of electronic reminders would actually get to me in time. Hmm, we’ll consider it further. I’ve tried using it a few times but I never last more than a day. Maybe it’s time for that to change.
